On August 16, 2008, at approximately 7:00pm CST, Eric Zamzow struck and killed an Unidentified Flying Object along with then passenger Haoyan Zhang whilst traveling on North Country Estates Road/US-83 near Liberal, Kansas. They were riding in a filled to the brim 1994 Volvo 940 station wagon on their journey across Middle America.
